Now that you’ve read about poverty from a sociologist’s perspective and watched a video to make the issues more concrete, I’d like you to reflect a bit on what you have learned.

Please write a two-page response paper (typed and double-spaced; feel free to write more if you’d like to) in which you discuss:

  • What were the most important things you learned about poverty in the reading and/or video? Why do you see these as important? 
  • Questions you have about poverty based on what you read/saw, or things that what you read and saw did not address about poverty that you still wonder about
