Motion-to-Dismiss-Discussion-Post-help

“Motion to Dismiss.” The most common use of this motion is under Fed. R. Civ. R 12(b)(6), or your state’s equivalent, for a failure to state a claim upon which relief can be granted. However, there are other occasions on which a Motion to Dismiss can be filed. Do some research and explain the various situations where a Motion to Dismiss would be filed, other than a 12(b)(6) motion. Is there ever a time that outside documents such as a police report or deposition transcript could be used in support of a Motion to Dismiss?

LIMITS ON DISCUSSION POST: PLEASE JUST DEVELOP ONE ADDITIONAL FACT SITUATION WHERE A MOTION TO DISMSS MIGHT BE APPROPRIATE. Please identify the specific type of motion to dismiss and why it is appropriate.
