Picking a random month, I counted 37 new lawsuits the SEC brought in April, 2012, on the “Enforcement – Litigation Releases” link on the SEC.gov website.  The SEC is very active and a force to be dealt with if a company breaks the rules.  Which rules does the SEC enforce?  Which sections of US code are they in?
