Read chapter 4 of the class textbook and review the attached PowerPoint presentation.  Once done answer the following exercise;

 During a diabetes education, Fatima indicates that she is Muslim and that for Ramadan she fasts from sunrise to sundown.
 Using Leininger’s Sunrise Model, analyzed the dietary significance of fasting.
 Discuss the possible nursing interventions to accommodate Fatima’s religious practice.  Please explain why you use the interventions.
How might Fatima respond if she was told she couldn’t fast and why?
